Wheel thrown from yellow clay which turns warm terracotta red upon firing, this cup is currently the only of its kind in the collection. Finished in the same chai glaze as the brown clay cups, but with an entirely different appearance as the glaze reacts differently with each clay. Shades of cream and red dance across the surface, with the exterior base of the cup left exposed to showcase the beauty of the clay itself. During trimming, chattering between the tool and the surface of the piece was allowed to create a rough pattern.
