tea light diffuser - yellow hakame

$50.00

Equally functional and beautiful, this diffuser was made in two pieces. Both the base and lid of the diffuser are wheel thrown from rich brown clay, hand carved to create a window for light, and then painted with yellow stoneware slip. This yellow clay becomes a fiery red-orange when completed.

The interior of the vessel is glazed in a thin shino glaze, while the exterior is left exposed to showcase its raw beauty. The lid has a thin coat of clear gloss for functionality.

How to use: To use, first remove the dish and place a tea light candle in the basin (you can also slide the candle in through the carved window, if you prefer). Next, replace the diffuser dish and fill with your choice of scent medium. If using wax melts, start with 2 melts and allow to melt completely before adding more. If diffusing essential oils in water, first place a small amount of water inside the dish before adding your choice of essential oil.

Important Safety Information: Never leave a candle or diffuser unattended. Keep away from children and pets. Do not burn on or near flammable surfaces. Allow the diffuser to completely cool before touching after use. Do not use for longer than one hour, as the surface of the diffuser will become very hot.
